What is a Sprained Wrist?
A sprained wrist is a type of injury where the ligaments that connect the wrist and hand are partially or fully torn.

What Causes A Sprained Wrist ?
A sprained wrist is caused by injury or trauma due to:
- An impact to the wrist
- The wrist being twisted or experiencing extreme pressure
- Playing sports such as basketball, baseball, gymnastics, diving, skiing, skateboarding
Sprained Wrist Symptoms
Symptoms of a sprained wrist may include:
- Wrist pain
- Wrist swelling
- A tender, warm sensation near the part of the body where the injury occurred
- A pop or tear sensation in the wrist
- Bruising
